Steam deck "playing a card" animation issue

I play on the steam deck and frequently run into an annoying issue. When selecting a card to play, while the card is moving into the "playing hand" position, moving to the next card via the dpad is blocked. This causes issues when you: select a card to play, attempt to move to the next card, then select that card to play. You would expect two cards to be in the playing position, but if you did the steps fast enough, the selection doesn't move off the original card because it's in the "moving to the played position" animation. This ends up with the first card being played then unplayed. Can you please make the "moving a card into the played/unplayed position" animation not block moving to a different card?
