Worst Joker?
I asked about the worst decks a while back, but i feel like theres more to choose here.

Worst to play, least fun, difficult to use, anything.

Would be nice if there was more than one other Joker that had synergy with low or negative money.

I just had a run where Obelisk showed up around Ante 4 or so and I took it because I was flush (heh) with cash and building around two pairs with occasional high card and single pair hands.

It cost me an otherwise glorious run because the micromanagement to keep checking how many times each hand has been played is something you're not used to doing in pretty much every other situation, and the one time you need to make sure you play a different hand to not reset the xmult on that damn thing is the one time you didn't need that to happen.

So it's Obelisk.

Seance.
Sixth Sense is already difficult to make the most out of where it's risky to proc and unlikely to give the spectral you need. Seance is really helpless and not worth the effort.

I'd go with this.

seance is ass... straight flushes are so specific and rare to build around that by the time you get that sort of deck up and running, you need scoring, not a utility card. I guess.. if you have a really good combo already and have the space for it, fine.

I'll admit it isn't always useful, but Superposition can be an incredible support joker when you have the deck to support it. I had a painted deck run that got it early and gave me something like 12 free tarot cards. Those gave me enough deck manipulation and econ to transition into a high card king/baron/mime build that went to ante 14. Sure there are other ways to get tarot cards, but that's the one I got offered and it worked great

I just have an irrational dislike towards red card. Buy a booster, skip something, get a whopping 3 mult. Yeah I know you can pick something in the mega packs, but it still feels like such a crappy investment.

Idol.

On average, I'll give you that Idol is not very good for the regular "beat ante 8 and win" run.

However, there are exceptions. My craziest run was on orange stake, green deck. To beat the ante 7 boss, I scored a hand worth over 100 billion chips. Of course, you need very special conditions for that to happen (I had Idol, DNA and Blueprint), but it did happen. That was unseeded.

But if you go endless, then Idol is one of the best jokers.

The thing to know is that Idol selects a card, with higher odds of selecting cards you have multiple copies of. So if you have 50 cards, 10 of which are Kings of Spades, the Idol will select King of Spades 1 in 5. If all your deck is Aces of Diamonds, then the Idol will always select Ace of Diamonds. That's why it's so strong.

its a free $20, even better on green deck where there isnt any interest. seance is a wasted joker slot.

Just to clarify, Credit Card isn't exactly "free", it costs you a Joker slot. You won't be able to use that slot for a scoring Joker without selling the Card, but if you sell the Card and you're still in debt then you won't be able to buy anything until you get out of debt.

Mind you, I agree with you that Credit Card can be useful, particularly on the Green Deck, but it does have a cost.
