How does royal flush work?

AAKKQ doesn't count as a royal flush. Is it three face cards, a ten, and an ace? Or does it have to AKQJT specifically?

I had the joker that allows flushes and straights with only 4 cards, got it as AKQJ

You need both Shortcut and Four Fingers.

What do you mean need? You can definitely just play an actual royal flush and get it.

It's AKQJT but there's no practical difference between royal flush and straight flush (they're under the same planets etc.) It's only for some achievement that it matters.

I'm pretty sure I had this happen to me once, so I think AKQJ9 still counts with Shortcut. That's purely for displaying the special name, no idea if it would trigger the related achievements/unlocks. I assume so but that's hard to test. Of course aside from those AKQJ9 has zero benefit if it counts since royal flush doesn't get any kind of bonus.
The ace is non-negotiable I think.

As in it needs to contain four of AKQJT and be a straight (with skips)?

So AQJT8 is a royal flush, but AQJ97 is just a straight flush? Or does it need four of AKQJ?
