Borderless window/ alt- tabbing
Anyone else having issues with borderless acting like fullscreen in that it black screens when going out of focus?

Add to that it creates a dark screen overlay after doing so which persists after the game is closed (certain program previews in task bar remain undarkened).

Specs: 3070, I5 13600k, 49" UW monitor + 27" UW (happens on both).

I don't know how to permanently solve this issue but in the meantime, you can turn off and then back on your HDR and it'll work.

I have the same issue. I think it is related to HDR settings. I'm on your side about getting it fixed (that's why I'm searching through the discussions for others with the issue). But for now, the easiest way to fix it, at least after quitting, is to use the hotkeys Ctrl + Shift + Windows + B. This resets/reloads the video drivers and it brings the screen back to full brightness. It's much faster than opening the HDR settings and toggling on and off.

For nvidia users

Open nvidia control panel
Manage 3D settings
Switch to Program Settings tab
Find or add balatro.exe
Scroll down to the last entry and set it so it looks like this:
Vulkan/OpenGL Present Method: Prefer Layered on DXGI Swapchain
Apply

That should fix it.

This absolutely worked with a 3070 and a Alienware AW3423DWF. Cheers!

Don't know why no one has given you an award for this yet, but take my points!

Replying to bump the thread and say thank you!
yes, take my points again please. This should be pinned since a basic game like this should handle it on its own.
