Placement of joker cards?
I have seen multiple streamers think about joker placement and it got me wondering because I am very confused on how I should place my joker cards in what order. Any general tips regarding it?

For that reason, you want jokers that add to mult on the left, jokers that multiply mult on the right. (because jokers trigger from left to right)

Thank you very much for this answer :)

This is why there is a boss that flips and shuffles your jokers btw

Do not though that if the joker says something like "this type of card gives +4 mult/1.5x mult when scored", it does not matter where that joker is placed. It'll trigger when the card is counted, before any of the jokers have their turn. However, cards are also counted left to right, so if a card will trigger an x mutliplier (including glass cards and polychrome cards), you should drag that card to the right before playing the hand. I often forget this and lose part of the bonus from my glass cards.

Optimal order for jokers:
1. Probability abilities - Oops! All 6s (should always be 1st), Space Joker
2. Chip adders - Hiker, Bull, Stuntman, Arrowhead
3. Mult adders - Bootstraps, Fortune Teller, Erosion
4. Mult multipliers - Lucky Cat, Baseball card, Acrobat, Bloodstone
z. Order doesn't matter - Showman, Trading Card, DNA

Actually, baseball card is an example of a joker where the order doesn't matter--at least for itself. No matter where you put it, it will cause a 1.5x multiplier *when the uncommon joker* is reached. So when you have that, you want to treat all your uncommon jokers as if they were polychrome 1.5x multiplier jokers (and if you have multiple of them, put any that also apply +mult on the left).

Those probability jokers also don't matter where you put them, unless they interact with one of your other jokers.

Oops all 6's should always be your first order joker no matter what, Space Joker probably doesn't matter but for sake simplicity and organization I like to front load my probability based jokers.

Pretty sure Brickey's right. Oops just doubles all probabilities at all times, doesn't have to be triggered. And I think Space joker triggers on the hand phase, before any of the cards are counted which in turn is before the jokers activate.

So we actually always place baseball bat first?

It doesn't matter, mostly. Unless it's Holographic, then you want it to the left.

The short and shallow version of it is: put additions (+) towards to left and multiplications (x) to the right.

Well yes but you have something like baseball bat and you want to understand that

If you're in doubt about what order things will trigger in, just reduce the game speed to 1x or .5x and then pay careful attention to what happens when you play a hand. Everything will play out in sequence.

Baseball triggers individual Uncommon jokers instead of itself, so his spot doesn't matter (unless he is holographic for the +10 mult, in which case he should be left). The placement of the Uncommons matter for him.

In general, everything happens from left to right:
- your playing cards (i.e. placing Polychromatic to the right can be beneficial if you have some +Mult cards)
- Then, your cards held in hand (for Steel)
- Then jokers.

Playing in Game Speed x1/x2 is good to check if you're doing stuff right, but you get the hang of it pretty quickly.
