How do tags work

If i skip a blind to have the next joker be holographic, well, is that MY next joker or THE next joker. Say he's 10 chips and i only have 5. I just wave goodbye to him? can i reroll if i hate it? I'm just struggling to ever think why i'd skip the first small blind for a joker buff. (esp on black deck)

Yes, if you don't have enough money or you don't like the joker you wave goodbye to it. It modifies the first joker in shop and that's it. You would want to skip first small blind for holo joker tag if the next tag is also something you want to skip the blind for, e.g., money or free stuff. Because the jokers are not required to pass the first blind boss (unless it's The Manacle and you are not on a deck with extra hands/discard/hand size)

One of my common starting strats is to skip both of the first Small and Big blinds if the tags are worth it (expecially if its an edition Tag and a Boss Cash tag). You can clear the starting boss 90% of the time with just standard cards and then get your boss cash to buy that holo/foil/poly.

I'll add to this thread that if you have an Edition tag and your next shop doesn't have a Joker, you can reroll the shop and it'll apply the Edition to a Joker that pops in the reroll.

I am sitting here, holding down R to reroll for "create two common jokers" or "mega joker pack" tag for the first two blinds and no , it never happens. is it not allowed to happen? did they patch it so it cannot happen?
