strange visual effect on the eyes.
I want to understand if the image can be fixed.

playing this game for more than 30 minutes, it made me feel dizzy....the game moves too much even if it's imperceptible at times, every single element on the screen is moving...I didn't find an option in the settings that removes this strange effect by making everything more static.... even when counting the points of your game, everything shakes more intensely like when the controller starts to vibrate (if I gave the example) at a certain point while he was counting the points bonus cards it felt like the TV was shaking just like the PS controller...but it was just the game.

There's a screen shake setting, turning it to 0 makes most things stop moving. Just not the background.

what I found and brought to 0 seems to me to be the distortion of the old TV effect... that striped filter effect that you can accentuate or eliminate completely, making the game visually clean... it seems like a game not to be missed after 30 minutes at a time because it has a strange effect perhaps thanks to the slowly rotating spiral background.

That's a different setting, screen shake is under "Game" when you open the options, not under "Graphics". But yeah, if you can't handle the spiral there's no helping.

For me it isn't the shake, its that line that pops up to simulate a cctv type vibe, that gave me a head ache...

I don't experience this with Balatro but this is something I experience with Guitar Hero. 30 minutes of playtime makes my vision suuppeeer weird, so I understand. I don't have a solution though

its funny, i can play games with 50 fov or the most graphical-flashing games for 8 hours nonstop without issue, but this relaxing card game gives me motion sickness lol

an option that blocks the screen and cards should be implemented if it was the "Solitaire" game

okay so good news: I'm working on a very barebones mod that replaces the background with a solid color. I just noticed how easy that was going to be, so may as well help people out right?

First version's done, with two options to pick from.

FYI, I found my issue. My driver hadn't been updated in maybe 3 years... I do not trust updates, they always seem to break more than they fix. I usually don't do them until there is no choice.

I turned the CRT down all the way, It happens on transitions now, but not during actual card play. I didn't bother to update.

I thought I was going insane. Thank you.

Am I the only one who turned up all the effects to make it look like a an old dying crt monitor I used to have as a kid ? It doesn’t bother me being on the effects
