Be wary of the "Cards can be purchased in shop" voucher

I bought this voucher, then on the final ante small blind I could skip for a negative joker. The big blind had a useless playing card instead of a negative joker, rerolls didn't help.

I've only used this voucher once and I found it honestly felt like a debuff - even if it was free, I'm not sure if I would take it in most runs in the future. It makes getting jokers, tarots and planet cards in the shop more difficult, and the cards I did get offered were just standard.

Maybe if the standard cards had their own "shop slots" so they don't dilute the selection of other card types, I'd find this much better, idk.

Yeah, it frequently dilutes the shop and just gives you basic cards that aren't even enhanced. IDK if I'll buy it anymore even if it didn't cost $10

It's useful for specific strategies. Is hologram the joker that gives mult (?) for how many purchased cards? Because that's when it's useful.

The cards still remain RNG heavy even without the voucher, I too had a bonus for a negative joker at one point, but 2 Tarot cards came up, so I had to wait until the next shop or onwards to trigger its effect

Yes sometimes you get the joker tag and the shop only has tarot/planet cards.
But in my experience if you reroll until a joker appears (hopefully once) it will be whatever the tag said.

it should be good for hologram maybe fibonacci if you have enough money for a lot of rerolls.

It was great when I had a joker that increased my mult for every card I added to my deck.

Granted when I bought it I was already at 20 mult with it.

It doesn't remove its mult when you remove cards either... it made my deck very powerful that run.

Haha even without playing cards in the shop, I’ve had a bunch of situations where I have a tag for a holographic, foil, polymorph joker in the shop, but there is no joker in the shop at all, so the tag doesn’t proc. You keep the tag in that case until you find a joker, but it’s a drag when you really needed it immediately.

With a reroll you can potentially get a joker

Yeah I bought that voucher once to discover it. I saw maybe 5 normal cards and zero enhanced ones, doesn't seem like it would be worth getting unless you have the joker for + deck size.

I only pick that up if I hot Hologram, specifically for this reason lol
