Flush builds want more of their chosen suit. 5 of a kind builds want more of their chosen value. Hack builds want more 2, 3, 4 and 5s. Sixth sense wants more sixes.
All of these are reasons you might want to buy poker cards from the shop.
Also, choosing not to take advantage of your Hologram joker doesn't make that joker or the Magic Trick voucherbad, it just means you didn't choose to take advantage of it.
I agree that this voucher is kinda crummy in most cases, but not every voucher should be run changing or even something you want at all depending on build. Hell, the Blank Voucher exists just to dilute the pool and unlock another voucher after you buy it 10 times.
I feel like a lot of the vouchers should be less than 10 dollars
EDIT : Also there's a 2nd tier unlockable to most vouchers, I don't want to spoil anything but... any time you see a voucher that seems not that good try buying it anyway.
You want Clearance Sale and Liquidation.
When you got holo joker and focusing high card/pair/three of a kind it's like "awesome, I don't mind filling my deck with cards I don't want so this is actually great".
I honestly think it could be buffed without being too strong and would be way more interesting if the base version had a low chance to add edition/seal and next level double/triple that chance just like tarot/planet vouchers. That would at least give me a reason to dilute the shop with random crap, we are here to gamble after all eh?
Paying 10 dollars to dilute shop with basic random cards and the CHANCE to pay another 10 dollars later (and take up a voucher slot for something else in that shop which couldve been a better one) and then finally maybe getting some crazy reroll seals going? Yeah no thanks by that point your deck is already trimmed for whatever hand and probably has a few sealed cards to continue copying with tarot...
Blank voucher though? I'll snap buy that son of a gun any day of the week <3
It's an absolutely trash voucher. It's OK with Hologram, but in EVERY other situation, it is terrible. Worst voucher in the game. Because it clogs up your shop slots with LESS jokers and replaces them with bad cards. Do NOT listen to anyone saying that it's "actually good" just because you MIGHT find Illusion later. You cannot rely on this.
The only way this voucher could be good, is if it added more shop slots that are reserved exclusively for playing cards. Then it wouldn't clog up your shop slots with less jokers.
Screw spoilers and being vague since this discussion keeps going.
Illusion is the tier 2 version of the Magic Trick voucher and it is A. MA. ZING.
It adds mods to the playing cards in the shop, about as frequently as they appear in packs. You can buy a guaranteed blue or purple seal card for a dollar or two.
I don't get how people figure this out about the blank voucher and don't figure it out about the magic trick voucher but whatever.
