Display issues
Hey!

I'm playing on a 1440p monitor in a 3-monitor setup, but when trying to use borderless mode the only resolution offered is 3620x2036.

The game seems to correctly recognise the resolution when set to fullscreen, just not on borderless mode.

There's also an issue when your PC has HDR enabled where the game blackscreens for 2 seconds each time you click outside the window. This can sometimes also permenently mess up the colour on your screen until you turn HDR off and on again.

If you need any more info, just let me know!

I have the same issues on a 2-monitor setup, primary is 3440x1440. Black screen, and really dark display until disabling and re-enabling HDR.

Having the same issue... main monitor has HDR turned off and it goes super dark. Need to turn HDR off and back on again.

Not a perfect solution for the resolution issue, but here's what Dantez72 said in another thread about a similar issue:
Go to the .exe > right click on it > properties > compatibility > change high dpi settings > override high DPI scaling > Application.
So give that a try for now. Hopefully a patch for various display issues comes soon, but temporary workarounds are better than nothing.

I am having the same issue, dual monitors running on primary 4K HDR. The game will also go black while just playing it, only seems to be fixed by a full restart

Balatro uses OpenGL I believe and that automatically disables HDR.

You can work around this by going into NVIDIA Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings > Add Balatro to the list if it's not there already > Select the High-performance NVIDIA processor if it's asking you select something here > Vulkan/OpenGL present method > Prefer layered on DXGI Swapchain.

I hope this fixes it for you!

That does seem to work, thank you!

Thank you so much man, I've got an HDR monitor and it was very annoying whenever I launch Balatro it would turn off my screen for 2 seconds. This has fixed the issue.
