Figured out the usefulness of Stone Cards
just wanted to post a tip for anyone else that was like me and didn't understand how to use stone cards effectively.

If you play a stone card alongside a hand, the stone card also gets scored, even though it's not really part of the hand. So, for example if you want to play a 3 of a kind, and you also have a stone card in your hand, you can play it with the 3 of a kind and it will get scored.

I still haven't used them much, but I think they can be pretty useful when your deck focuses on hands that use 4 cards or less, as you will then have 'room' to also play stone cards.

I thought they were basically used only when playing high card, and maybe for some weird combo stuff, but they are quite a bit better than I thought. Just wanted to post this for anyone else that didn't quite get it at first.

There's also a joker that works with the number of stone cards contained in your deck.

i wonder if you could do a whole build based around stone cards, that would be pretty great.

What happens if you just play stone cards? Do they work as pairs?

it will be considered a high card hand. they are really strong for builds focused on high card, you can play a hand of 5 stone cards and it will be considered high card but all 5 will get scored.

High card with Rank 0. So it would score 55 points base (5 for High Card, 50 chips for itself, x1 multi--assuming no Jokers and no planet upgrades).

Or up to 255, since MrPickles asked about stone cards plural.

Well yeah. Just meant that it doesn't have a rank value of its own. It isn't even, odd, or numbered.
