Is "royal flush" still in the game?
I'm only missing one planet on collections but that's the five of a kind. That would mean no royal flush planet.

EDIT: I can confirm haven gotten the royal flush myself. It can be any color (for some reason I thought it had to be hearts), it gives you an achievement and it does not show on the hands list unlike 5 of a kind. Because it doesn't show on the list you can't buy a planet for it. I do not know how much higher points it gives compared to a normal straight flush, but it does give more since it's the highest possible straight flush anyway.

I think the game just counts it as a straight flush and the levels from straight flush are applied to it.

It still changes its name to it if you get one. I think it gives an achievement too.

Do you have all the planets on collections? Can you check?

Maybe royal flush doesn't have a planet?

Does it have its own "hand level" though? If it does, wouldn't it end up being worse than a leveled up straight flush?

I've gotten 5 of a kind before, but I don't remember if it also had its own level.

By that logic there wouldn't be flush five or flush house planets too

I got all the planets achievement and can confirm there is no royal flush planet card

They all have. Except royal flush, I don't know if royal flush has "hand level" as well or if like the guy said it just counts as a normal straight flush.

nah, full house is specifically the combination of two different hands together into a single high scoring one, so it makes sense to differentiate it. and a regular flush obviously doesn't satisfy being a Straight as well,

But a Royal Flush is literally just a straight flush except it's just Ace - King - Queen - Jack - 10. It's a fantastic hand, but mechanically it's the same as a straight flush just set as high as it can go. Otherwise it'd be like giving a separate distinction to pairs, three, and four of a kind performed only with Aces.

Royal Flush's hand level is, more or less, straight flush's level. I think it tosses a chip bonus on top?

Aces are worth 11... Faces and 10's are worth 10... so yeah, it gets 1 chip more than any other straight flush.

A royal flush is just a fancy name for the best straight flush possible, the unbeatable hand in normal poker.

Two, actually. The alternative is using a 9 instead of the ace's 11, so you lose two chips by playing the next best straight flush. Unless you have one of the jokers that modify straights of course, then you can lose more or less.
Pretty sure when I got the royal flush achievement I only played A K Q J with four fingers, so that still counts. Wonder if the criterion is just ace-high, if you have Shortcut, or if having all three royals is (part of) the requirement(s). Would make sense given the name, of course.

It still need to be in game as its own hand due to some boss requiring to have no repeat hands type.

If you can crank out multiple Straight Flushes in a row consistently enough that this boss effect becomes a considerably detriment to you then you can probably afford to just finish cleaning it up with a non-flush straight, or a non-straight flush, with a High Card/Pair mixed in if you need the extra discard

It is still by definition a different hand type, so yeah it need to be added

No, making a royal flush its own hand type would make it worthless. And it's still just the highest value straight flush, there's nothing mechanically different about it, unlike a flush five or flush house. It's a terrible idea to make it a separate hand from straight flush.
