Raise Stakes for all decks
Locking them per deck is just absurdly grindy and doesn't improve anything about the game. People who want to work their way up can still do so and people who don't want to bother can just skip to their achieved level.

I disagree, personally. I want reasons to play this game with a purpose for a very long time so I'm down to grind them all out.

And you would be free to do so by using the decks on the lowest stake you haven't won with them yet. It wouldn't grant a stake-sticker on the decks that haven't won at those stakes yet, it'd just give you the option to skip the grind.

Idk, the early decks are simple differences, but the later ones change the game pretty dramatically...heck even the small differences on the early decks are still drastic by the game's standards. I'd say it makes sense, but I also like the grind

yes, please!! This is my major issue with this game. I hate grinding easy difficulties...
but beating higher stakes with worse decks is a far more difficult challenge. i would say if you beat a stake with a basic deck that same stake should be unlocked on the themed decks. but i don't mind too much.

The problem with this idea is that just because you can win with one particular deck doesn't mean you can win with the others. Especially when we're talking about later decks you unlock that drastically modify the game.

It would also cut down the game's replayability by 7/8ths. I wouldn't feel the need to use any of the other decks if I wasn't "forced" to in order to get full completion.
This doesn't really work any different than Slay the Spire's ascensions. There's more decks but fewer levels to ascend.

I understand both sides of the debate, but I personally agree with OP. Some decks are obviously easier than others, and I don't find it fun to do lower difficulties when they are fairly easy to win regardless of deck. To me, grinding is about getting better or unlocking things to make something difficult more easy. It shouldn't be blocking you from accessing the more difficult thing and allowing you a chance to beat it if you're capable.

For reference, there's already been a mod by Wiwiweb to somewhat do this for over two weeks. By default it unlocks all stakes 2 stakes below your highest, so if you have gold on one of them you can play up to purple on all decks. You can customize it by changing one number.

Hard Disagree.
This is something that adds longevity to the game and brings accomplishment to each stake unlocked on a per deck basis.
