You can get like quadrillions of chips in a single hand with the right combos, but yeah that's not always possible with what you're given to a certain point in the run.

Needles pretty easy, getting the small blind in one single hand should be the normal at almost every ante after 2.

Needle is easy unless you get badly RNG screwed, I laughed at it

That one infuriated me yesterday and I quit, I only needed 100 extra chips to win.
I hope developer won't listen to people becasue if so, he will have to remove every boss.

Interesting thing I found, the Burglar Joker that removes all your Discards & gives you 3 Hands to be played I think gave me extra hands, when initially it was supposed to be 1 hand played, I had no other effects that could negate the Bosses Big Blind

Seriously, why do people who have seemingly never played a roguelike before come here with suggestions that boil down to "take every bit of difficulty out of the game." Major skill issues 💅

I saw this combo yesterday and glad that I didn't throw my run for science. Honestly I'd say in this particular case, the thing in spoiler should override the boss, or at least by +1 or something.

Don't remove it, but I've came up with a better solution. You just get multiple tries depending on how many hands you have, the score would simply not count if it's not high enough. That way the boss won't one-shot you right there. lol

It's possible, I did it my first encounter. I still hate it though

Yub, stumbled over that myself as well but made it.

An even more fun way to ruin your run is the all cards are face cards (Paredolia) Joker, it was great together with face cards give +4 mult (Smiley Face), re-trigger played face cards (Sock and Buskin), and face cards give 30 chips (Scary Face), until I ran into The Mark at Ante 10 and every re/draw was face down and I had to play blind :)... thinking about it, The Plant would've killed the run just as well.

I am not even that good at the game (I have 2 wins in over 10 hours), but I have beaten the needle more than I lost to it. Yes, it can be frustrating since you can be oneshotted, but my last run that I lost was more frustrating to me with how good my hands were before my loss. I bumped on a boss that negated hearts which my deck was full with and I didn't get find cards in time to turn them into something else (hell, I got a tarot to turn even more cards into hearts). It is what it is. You can get bad beats when you play poker as well, not much you can do about those.

Even when all cards are face down, you can use the sort options to make it reasonably certain (or fully in some cases) that you have a flush, or figure out what is likely to be pairs. So it's not a guaranteed loss or forced sell of that joker, though it's still pretty rough of course. Gotta pick between selling the joker if possible or gambling big time.
Having the Splash joker would also make it a lot easier with your exact setup, unless a specific hand you leveled a lot.

Yeah, but Ante 10 is a bit late to change the whole strategy, and I probably wouldn't have made it through 11 without it.

But it was a neat surprise. First I was perplexed, then I though it's a bug, then I realized what was happening cursed the game for throwing surprise !!fun!! at me and alt+f4'ed hard... only to start it up again 5 or 10 minutes later.
