How do you discover tarot cards?

Really stupid question I know, (i'm new here lol) but I have earned several tarot cards by discarding others (devil and a few others) but can't use them when they are in the upper right, "use" is greyed out.
them when I go to buy them in other runs it still says I haven't discovered them.

Only one I have apparently discovered in 6 runs is the one you get in the tutorial, every single says not discovered. :/

I know i'm missing something simple here.

sounds like what you might be missing is you need to also select playing cards, for the ones that modify those. This is only valid when you're either in a round playing the cards or opening another pack and it offers some cards

but how do you go about discovering the ones before you buy them in the shop though? as I can never buy any at all (except one... lol)

As far as I remember what you buy/gain becomes discovered, What do you mean you can never buy? I think there should be a buy, not just buy and use button so you should be able to do that when you have empty consumable slots.

Ah, It was what you said before, i had to select the cards. that was it.
before when I bought the pack everything was greyed out, i assumed it was because i hadn't discovered them during play or something as the pack said (not discovered) before I bought it.

I was just complicating it in my head. cheers dude.
