I got the Hex card so sold all my jokers but a negative eternal Red Card and it wouldn't let me use the Hex

Negative is a joker's edition.
Hex wants to make a joker polychrome, which is another joker's edition.

Editions can't be overwritten by any mean, so Hex doesn't work.

It's the same thing with Ectoplasm (spectral card), for example. But the other way around.
Can't make a foil joker negative.
