Balatro gameplay:
-Stare at 8 cards, decide what's the best hand currently available

-Stay in shop like 10 minutes to decide between Jokers, Booster Pack
-Stay in Blind selection 5 minutes to decide skip or not, plus form a plan for Boss Blind

TL;DR: I agree that dev should bring back demo, some people simply won't watch review/LP and just blindly jump into Balatro due to "trend", and gets mad this game isn't for them.
slot machine gameplay - 100% luck / 0% skill
balatro gameplay - 99% luck / 1% skill
balatro is a lottery ticket RNG game
If you play it like a poker game, sure it's mostly luck.
If you play it like a deckbuilder, it's 50% luck and 50% stategy.
I don't want to repeat the skill issue joke, but seriously, some people are just bad at video game and think it's all about luck.
Balatro is luck based, that much we know of. How it reward, or punish you, is entirely up to how you play. If you keep fishing for 5 cards hand, if you keep skipping "bad" Jokers, if you keep ignoring tags that might actually save your run, then that isn't luck.
