Is Flush overpowered?
Literally all my wins have been Flush-based wins. Am i just playing the game wrong or is it vastly overpowered?

No, but its certainly the most common hand to be able to build a deck around.

Flush isn't overpowered, the problem is level 1 Full House is under powered and not worth going for by comparison.

Buff those by 10 chips and Flushes won't look AS good any more.

FLush starts strong and is easy and intuitive to build for, but can fall off when compared to other builds that are tougher to build like Straight or x of a kind. Getting a high card build off the ground is rough as hell but totally doable.

The two suit deck is very strong and easy to work with. It's very rigid, though. I do think it's a little silly that they're worth more than straights when straights are inherently riskier to go for without the gap joker.

Yes, it's a total game design flaw and kind of ruins replay-ability.

It's not that Flush is overpowered, it's just that the other strategies are much harder to get going. A couple of decent Tarots and you've got a solid Flush build going. Also keep in mind that there's a card enhancement that makes a card count for any suit, but not for any rank. And the Jokers that make flushes easier to make are much better than the Jokers that make straights easier to make. It also seems like there are more jokers with synergy for those strategies than there are for others. In particular, I find straight decks really hard to build, and in general there isn't a ton of reward if you do get one that's somewhat consistent.

The jist is that the other strategies probably need a buff more than Flush needs a nerf.

Also wild cards are all suits but never all ranks.
when i finally broke the million barrier my deck wasn't playing any kind of hand in particular, i just went stupid with anaglyph deck adding negative jokers.
it actually scales really bad into high scores - it's easy to build because there are so many jokers that obviously work for it and the tarot strategy is simple. it has a low ceiling unless you are moving into something like flush fives or royal flushes as you go onto endless.

I don't understand the fuss about flush at all. Two pairs seems a more universal solution for low stakes (white-green) at least. Easier to get. Don't have to rely on discards and lucky draws as much. Not vulnerable to boss blinds. Works with many common jokers. Requires leveling up, but that doesn't depend on luck at all. You're always going to get enough planet cards.

The reality is also that flush is 4 different builds hidden in one. Like, when you go 4 of a kind it barely matter what's the value you're 4ing, but with flushes, there's an entire build with a dedicated tarot card and 2 jokers for each color (not counting the generic flushes jokers).

So in reality, if people find themselves in "flushes" more often than other comps, it's mostly because instead of being a dozen possible types of builds (1 of them being flushes), there's 15 different kind of builds, FOUR of them being flushes.

Also, flush is the only way to progress through the early game on higher stakes. You can't make the goals on ante 2 with anything less than a X4 multiplier.

This is actually silly. 1/4 chance of any card being any particular suit. vs a 4/52 chance of getting the same rank
