brainstorm incompatible with space joker?

have had both cards since ante 1, got my first space joker proc in ante 8 meanwhile brainstorm hasn't proc'ed a single time despite saying that it's compatible.
would brainstorm be a 1 in 4 proc like space joker, or is it a 1 in 4 chance within another 1 in 4 chance?

Both fit well together, Brainstorm and Blueprint copy Space Joker and can proc individually. First proc Ante 8 is really unlucky I guess.

I did a full run with blueprint + space joker and got 0 procs. RNG is RNG but I'm wondering if there's something going on here

They should have a pity system where if you don't proc for 10 rounds, the game procs you out of pity. Just like in gacha games which also involve luck and rerolls
