four of a kind instead of flush??

I had an issue where I had a full hand that was a flush but 4 kings if I added the kings into the flush it would show up as four of a kind not a flush kkkk8, but if I took one king out kkk78 it counted as a flush just wanted to bring this up as im pretty sure its a bug I can post pictures if needed. it was on this seed BS9IYNTW

No it's not a bug. When two valid hands are combined, the game always pick the best possible HAND, KKKKA (heart) is a Flush and a 4-of-a-kind, thus you score 4OAK as it's a higher hand than Flush.

That's not a bug.

When you select cards, the game scores the best hand. Not necessarily the highest scoring one, but simply the one that is closest to the top when you look at the hands' chart.

On that chart, 4 of a kind is above a flush.

But 3 of a kind is weaker than a flush.

That 4th king changes everything.

this just lost me a run (along with me not looking at the hand type on the left obviously) since my flush was level 35 and 4 of a kind was level 1

but at least i know now and can play around it

It's not that it's hard to make it figure out which one would be better. It's just that this is one of the bits of actual skill expression in the game, and you shouldn't be duplicating tons of one card if you want to make flushes.

yes but have you tried turning half your deck into red seal steal ♥K's? it sure feels nice

i had the means to make flush when the run ended with a 4oak but i didnt know then what i know now / didnt even consider that that could happen

Also worth mentioning there are some 'hidden' non-normal hands that can mess with you, spoilered in case you don't want them, well, spoiled You can make a flush house, and a flush five, and I've been stung on flush house messing with a level 40+ flush build
