There looks like some OUTDATED advice floating around that you can use the seed "TUTORIAL", but that doesn't seem to work. It's possible that was the case for the demo but not the full game.
I hope the devs are able to implement this soon, because it doesn't make sense to me why you can have multiple profiles but not replay the tutorial.
But yes ability to optionally run the tutorial when changing to a new profile seems like a must.
But remember, it's a one man developer, he's working his butt off fixing things but there's a balance between how easy some things are to fix vs how much time they take. Adding new UI stuff to the main menu to re-enable the tutorial is more work than other things while less useful for the majority of players than a line of code fixing a game breaking exploit (eternal luchador) or fixing saves not working at all for a group of people with particular PC setups.
Same reason my crappy temporary mod to change/remove backgrounds for people with motion sickness doesn't have a menu toggle but just applies the version you decide to install, adding menus isn't easy in this game.
I keep telling people to give LocalThunk a break but no one listened lol.
But TBH I'm kinda sad that I couldn't replay the tutorial because I played the demo and even though unlocks weren't carried over, the game "remembers" that I finished the tutorial and won't let me play it again. Suck to lose the "first time" feeling on the full version just because you played the demo, but not something I'd complain about.
- Disable Steam Cloud saves for the game
BACKUP WHAT YOU DELETE
- Find and remove the game's folders in AppData/Local and AppData/Roaming
- In a subfolder in your /userdata folder, find and remove 2379780.json
- In your Steam installation directory, in /steamapps subfolder, find and remove appmanifest_2379780.acf
BACKUP WHAT YOU DELETE
I found out the only file you need to delete to the tutorial work again is the "settings.jkr" file in AppData\Roaming\Balatro.
Just make sure cloud sync is off or it will bring old the file back.
I can confirm that this method works.
