Personally i don't think it's worth the effort.
Discard down to the hand you want to play
Sandbag yourself with playing 'High Card' outside of that hand over and over
Win with your preferred hand.
Do that for two Ante or so and now 'High Card' should be played a good 15 to 20 times.
Now you're free to play however you want (so long as you avoid High Card resetting the Obelisk) and enjoy ramping that multiplier.
