Obelisk questions?
Obelisk adds x0.2 mult for each turn you don't play your most-played hand. So how to effectively use that?

Obviously if I have 17 turns of Flush but then pick up Obleisk and pivot to a new play, those plays are going to get better and better Mult.

But what if I pick Obelisk up early? I saw it on Ante 2, when I had exactly four plays (2 Two Pair and 2 Full House) how can I use it then?

What happens if I have Obelisk and my most played hand is at six plays and I run a different hand up to six plays, what then? Just allow it to reset?

I'm just struggling to figure out how to use what is clearly a very strong Joker.

Thanks!

Ideally pump something like high card as much as you can, then you can use your good hands freely. if you can get high card to like 15 or 20 plays, you can work with 3 or 4 hand types for the rest of the game if you have synergies to support that.

Personally i don't think it's worth the effort.

YOu ever played Smash Brothers? Imagine charging a smash attack - you're doing that for most of the run by playing one hand over and over and over and over, like pair or high card. Meanwhile you gear your deck for something else, and when the time is right, you pivot, gaining x.2 mult every hand and scaling massively very quickly. It's very big-brained and difficult to use but very strong.

So if I did pick it up in Ante 2, I should have spammed High Card just enough to keep alive, and then pivoted to something better once I had a decent reserve. Seems fiddly, but I guess I can see the merit.

If you're confident in your ability to win in just one or two of your preferred hand, you can basically
Discard down to the hand you want to play
Sandbag yourself with playing 'High Card' outside of that hand over and over
Win with your preferred hand.
Do that for two Ante or so and now 'High Card' should be played a good 15 to 20 times.
Now you're free to play however you want (so long as you avoid High Card resetting the Obelisk) and enjoy ramping that multiplier.
