Things you wish the game told you?
I'll start: 5432A is a valid straight.

I was discarding so many Aces trying to make hands after removing my face cards for Ride the Bus, and passed on Superposition twice.

Since an Ace is literally a one value card (it has one symbol on it) why would it not fit in the 5 4 3 2 1 sequence?

Because it's the highest rank card, not the lowest and also scores 14 chips base.

11 chips base, but that and it working for ace high straights is still the exception part, not the other way around. It's just a one card.

I wish the game mentioned stuff like card-area trigger order somewhere, in some advanced help menu or something. I enjoyed figuring it out, but other people keep failing to do so and reporting "bugs" when things don't work the way they want them to.

That's just basic playing card knowledge. Ace is "11 or 1" in pretty much every game that has scoring, such as poker or blackjack, where all face cards are just soft steps of 10s, which allows for wrapping.

This. Ace has always been 1 or 11 in basic poker.

I just wish you could make a straight "through" the overlap, like QKA23 or something like that. Maybe could be an additional feature to shortcute?

Personally, I think the reason people missed this is because Aces always sit on the far right when sort by rank, so it's fair to assume it wouldn't make Straight. This is something only Poker players know in advance, the ingame Tutorial didn't teach us this when technically it should.

One QoL option I think worth implementing is a "Short by Best Hand" option, where you click it and the cards will be ordered into your best possible hand (and automatically highlight it for you). That way even newbies can find out A2345 is a valid straight.

That I didn't have to play 5 cards.

I did eventually realize it, but certainly on my first game I was throwing away cards I didn't need to because I thought I had to.

It is typically a good idea to add cards you are not going to use to a less than 5 hand so that you can draw more. There are reasons not to but usually it is good.

I wish the game more clearly showed the order of operations with the score calculations or gave a log for you to parse afterward.

One thing it doesn't directly point out to the player is the order in which jokers apply their + and X mult bonuses, i.e. left to right. It was only after losing to the boss that flips and shuffles the jokers that I realised that you generally want x-mults on the right to get a reliable bonus.
I would really like to see the previous boss blinds I've beaten. It's particularly useful to know which suits won't be debuffed by a future boss.

I'd also like to see which hands I played previously in a round. There's a joker that adds x3 to your mult if you've already played the hand that round.

Same goes for hand cards. If you have bonus cards like +4 multi, x1.5 multi and +4 multi, make sure the +4's are played first (put them on the left when playing the hand). :starite:

That no matter how many times you restart, you will never get an opening hand worth 300.
