Would somebody who doesn't like poker like this game?

Hate poker but this game is really fun, it's 100% just deck building and the cards are just a skin for that

this is definitely not anything like a 'normal people card game' hahah. it uses the different types of poker hands (pair, two pair, flush, full house etc) to make hands and score, but the real meat of the game is figuring out powerful combinations of jokers, card enhancements and alterations to the deck.

the poker stuff is sort of like window dressing for the actual game.

Thanks for the feedback! I might have to brush up on some poker knowledge I don't know what a flush is or full house, etc.

It's all in the game in a popup menu so don't worry about that too much - plus you can just select cards to play and the game will tell you if it's a scoring hand type.

The only thing it might not explicitly say is that Aces can be high or low meaning they can count as a 1 for low straights (run of five cards in rank order eg ace, 2,3,4,5) or end a ace-high straight (10,Jack,Queen,King,Ace).
