Does "discovering" a new joker do anything?

There are some jokers I've unlocked but haven't discovered (purchased from the shop or otherwise obtained). Wondering if there's any benefit to discovering them, aside from the achievement aspect?

It might actually unlock something. I don't know for sure.
Eg:
The Blank Voucher. The moment I saw it I knew that I should buy it at every opportunity because it likely was a decoy and that if I bought it enough times it would unlock something else. I was right.

no benefits from buying a undiscovered card.
Unlock only means you gain access to have the card in the pool.

edit: other than achievements.

Probably just meant to be a way to psychologically nudge you to try new strategies in case you are feeling iffy about trying a joker or whatever that you've never tried before. It's an unchecked box, it makes you feel driven to check it.
