Can anyone explain stone cards to me?
They don't count for flushes, pairs etc. sure they can be tagged on to other hands, but that requires them to be 4 cards or less.

Why would you ever stone a card over putting bonus on it (and another) and still having it with a rank and suit?

I just unlocked the balance deck so I imagine they're pretty decent there. But a single joker giving chips for odd, or face cards, and I can bonus two of them for more chips than a stone card... Plus I've seen zero joker / stone interaction, other than a joker that stones.

There is a joker which allows flushes and straights to be made with 4 cards. But yes, stone cards aren't good in decks which want to make 5 card hands.

you can use stone cards to improve the point value of hands with lower amount of cards.

For example a pair with 3 stone cards get an extra 150 chips. Through Multipliers this can make alot of difference, if you have alot of multiplier jokers. if you play a pair and add a bonus card to it, that is not part of the pair, the bonus card is not counted and doesn't add anything.

So you can create a deck that uses lower value hands like pairs and uses stone cards to increase the chips, eleminating the need for chip jokers, giving you more space for multiplier jokers.

There is a challenge with alot of stone cards and the joker, that adds stone cards, that is pretty easy to clear playing only pairs with stone cards added.

There is also a Joker that adds Multiplier per stone card in the deck. its an unlock though,i think.

Stone Joker. It adds +25 chips for each, not +mult, and it's available from the start.

As far as I can tell they're bait for the most part. You pretty much always want to be playing 5 cards, whether it's a straight, full house, or flush. The only exception as far as I know is if you have a goofy two pair build with the pants joker. In that case stone cards can be added for just a few more chips. But even then, there's the opportunity cost of just not picking a better tarot card.
It'd be cool if you could build into them more and be able to play, for example, 3 of a kind with just stone cards. But as is I pretty much always skip them.

Stone cards mean free +50 chips and no rank/suit affected. Thus, they're good for:
-Buff up high card, pair, 2 pair, three of a kind. Jokers and Planets for these hands are common, so they can reach very high level.
-Get rid of Red cards, in case you get Blackboard.
-Commonly comes with Foil / Holo / Poly in Booster pack, plus random seals, providing good buff when held / discard / play.
