i believe malogoss has cleared gold stake with this deck, he will probably have much better advice.
The other white decks were pretty simple in comparison.
You're constantly chasing money because you start with one less hand.
Often there is just one dollar missing to buy a good pack or a suitable joker.
Same think on the first red stacks.
Even with the blue deck it is very hard to survive when u dont get a moneymaking joker in the first shops.
About not pulling even one of a rank even when you have a lot, getting more of a card you want is always nice, but don't miss out on getting rid of cards you don't want. Every card you destroy is a card you never have to discard again. You get to see 38 cards from your deck if you always play/discard 5 (on black deck white stake). To guarantee you always pull a card, bringing 52 closer to 38 by subtracting two (Hanged Man) is faster than bringing 4 to 14 with +1 (Death) - 7 hanged men vs 10 Deaths, and the hanged men guarantee you 4 of a rank while the deaths only guarantee you at least one. Ideally you want to mix both strategies of course, especially since you rarely get both at once in a pack.
