Without a grind then the game makes no sense for me.
I thought it would be more like a trading card game.
It always feels like wasted time.
I saw on Youtube a player he plays endless mode with a plasma game and a deck just with kings:

Where can i find the endless mode, or did i just must unlock him?
This game is really fun. Maybe i waste some time with it even without trading ^^
Endless mode occurs after you beat ante 8 on a run.
I dont even pass Ante 4 Oo.
How to pass Ante 8 with red or blue deck to get new decks??
Did the Joker gettin better or you just must have a pretty damn lucky run?
I just got to Ante 7 for the first time.
The deck is built entirely on Flush (LV12) and 90% on clubs with wild cards.
Also 2 Joker for Flush and 1 for club.
Ante 7 Boss = eliminates all club cards.
That it just impossible to win. ^_^
Playing with debuffed cards can be surprisingly effective, the cards don't score chips or abilities but you might be able to scrape by on the hand score + any jokers you have that work based on the hand and not the suit or cards (or that just always work) (although admittedly it's worse for a deck with a lot of wild cards, since the wild effect is disabled making flushes harder to build)
Plus remember that you can see the boss blind a while in advance, so you can buy stuff in the 2 shops before it to decrease your reliance on card scoring and card abilities
You built a deck that was very vulnerable to The Club. You could have survived if you had Pairs or Two Pairs or Straights as a second option. Or at least Flush using some other suit. You can beat the game on White Stake without specializing too heavily. Now you know better.
Today I managed to beat the game with a hybrid build of High Card, Pair, Two Pairs, Full House, Straight, Straight Flush. In the end even the least valuable hand (a single 2) scored about 150,000 points. Half of the game I just kept playing the lowest single card in hand trying to minimize points and maximize rounds in order to gain more bonuses.
Maybe he had no other choice than to go for that deck?
Its not like he can just pull specific cards/jokers in order to build a deck he specifically wanted.
I don't think that's the case. But we don't know. The only way to find out would be to have other players and especially skilled players play the same seed. I'm pretty sure we would see many strategies. And many victories.
