Does this game require some understanding of poker?

No. It's easier to play at first when you know what type of hands scores points, which are the same in poker, but the game has some useful interface that gives you all the information you need to play, so no worries

No, as it gives you almost all the info you'll need; the only extra thing you'd want to know (that the game doesn't teach you) is that Aces can also be used as the first card in straights with numbers 2-5.

Nope, all you need to know is in a side menu which tells you what combination of cards gives what score of which is called a hand. I had no poker knowledge before, now i know the basics.

If you know that TJQKA is a straight
that A2345 is also a straight
and that a straight can't contain both a 2 and a K at the same time,

then the rest is all available info within the game, pretty sure.

There’s ♥♥♥♥ you can do in this that’s literally impossible in an actual poker hand. Nah you don’t need to be an expert at all.

Well I bought it with no understanding of poker and it didnt matter one bit, the rules are there on the screen at all times just a click away and I played it for 5 hours straight, brilliant game
