Brainstorm Joker

So I just had Vampire with Blueprint and then bought Brainstorm to sandwich Vampire between the two, but it says Brainstorm is not compatible. Am I misunderstanding how Brainstorm works?

You probably are misunderstanding.

Brainstorm copies the LEFTMOST joker of your lineup. Which is not necessarily the one next to it.

So to copy your Vampire 2 times, you'd need to have Blueprint first to the left, Vampire right next to it, and Brainstorm anywhere else in your lineup. That way Brainstorm copies Blueprint, which is copying Vampire.

It's a weird positioning for a Xmult joker, since only Brainstorm can sit at the far right where Xmult jokers usually are placed. But with a hand level high enough or if other conditions are met, it still yields awesome scores. Specially with Vampire, which scales infinitely.

I literally moved it in every position and it didn't work in any of them. I think it's because I only had 4 joker slots and my first one was Merry Andy. Don't think you can copy that. Oh well, should have paid more attention to the description.

Merry Andy is indeed not compatible with either of the copy effect jokers.

There are others, as well. For the most part the only thing you can copy is the +chips, +mult, and x-mult effects, though some other effects are clonable too (eg. cash gain at the end of a round).

For example, Sacrificial Dagger being cloned doesn't clone the "destroy the card to the right" effect, just the +mult value.

Wouldn't Vampire not proc twice since it's trying to suck two enhancements off of one card?

I'm desperately searching for insane builds to beat the higher stakes. ♥♥♥♥ gets ridiculous.

As mentioned blueprints do not copy the ability of the Joker, but rather the effect. So for vampire it will just copy the x mult. Meanwhile it will act as another Dusk Joker.

And yeah two vampires the second wont do anything, as there are no enhancments to be sucked off (unless you were to put the golden mask in between them)

Yeah, I just watched a streamer the other day have "all cards are faces" with Golden Mask and then Vampire near the end. I think Vampire got all the way up to 40x. It made me want to throw up.
