Violet Vessel (Very Big Blind)
Starting a support group for fellow people who get wrecked by violet vessel during the last ante on gold stake.

Keep cruising along, beating all the round, and then violet vessel comes out to remind you lifes not fair.

Yes it's really the worst boss blind! I think having a luchador saved me from it on either purple/orange stake, but thankfully didn't encounter it on gold...

It just ruined my run.

It really need to be nerfed.

To me, a simple addition to the game would silence most complaints about some bosses abilities ruining everything. Change stake level, change player's skill level, all bosses are problematic to some degree. So modifying one boss does not achieve much, in my opinion.

Just make us start runs with a crappy version of the Director's Cut voucher. By crappy, I'm thinking higher cost to activate. Anything goes. $25? Fine. -1 hand size until end of run? That's pretty frickin' bad, but still better than dying on the spot.

There's some degree but also OVER THE TOP.

This boss isn't making sense.

This literally just happened to me, so I came here, searched Violet Vessel, and found this post. Violet Vessel on this difficulty = you lose.

i think this is a great solution honestly. the cost should be prohibitive in all but the most dire situations (gold stake / violet vessel, for example). and would still allow director's cut to be very useful. but it would give players SOME option other than just inevitable death.

Add me to the list. I was able to get double the normal boss stake ($1.6 million), but not triple ($2.4 million). I was running cloned bulls (+4 Chips for every $1) and had about $300.

I only won VV on plasma gold stake because I had an utterly ridiculous high card build with double stuntman, burglar, brainstorm, and blueprint, meaning I could get a ton of hands by cloning burglar at the start of the blind and also score like 250k (1000 chips balanced to 500x500) per hand, meaning it was literally impossible to lose (Even The Eye would fall to high card then pair and I had a +1 hand size voucher for Psychic). The boss does need to be tuned down slightly, since you pretty much just lose unless you have a completely broken run.
