Counter argument, most jokers are useless after green stake because they do not provide enough scaling to keep up with the exponential growth of blind requirements of higher antes. but at that point, jokers like madness become a lot more useful. My first gold stake win came from the very first time I ever used madness. The game's playstyle changes completely every few antes, and the jokers available reflect that
Funny thing, Madness has not been buffed since OP gave their opinion. It's the opposite, it has been nerfed. It was too strong.
