Pro tips: Stone cards CAN be converted back to normal card, so if you have holo/poly Stone Cards but can't use them in your 5-cards build, save an enhancement Tarot card (bonus, mult, glass, steal, gold, wild) and use on them, they will revert back to number/face cards.
It's when you convert them to another type of enhancement. Stone is an enhancement, any card can have only one of those (plus a seal and an edition) so overriding it turns it back to non-stone. If you did that after your diamond change it would be a "whatever it was before-of-diamonds ".
Maybe it didn't change for me because I got the stone card from a pack. So I guess it never had a rank before.
It's purely because you used a suit changing card on it. That doesn't remove enhancements, same way it doesn't change a +mult card into a normal one. Wild card for instance would have worked. You can see what counts as an enhancement in your collection.
Yeah I kinda remember it wrong, the demo was a while ago. The correct way to un-stone them is to apply mult, bonus, wild, glass, steel, gold. Edited my response to reflect this.
