Not enough to beat the final challenge, still working on that, but loads of fun
If you ever get to a point where on the left side your multiplier goes higher than the other number when you play a hand and it adds everything up, you want to increase the other number instead. It's rare, but it can happen.
In general, flush on its own isn't that strong. There's ways to guarantee yourself stronger hands, like 4 or 5 of a kind. Stronger hands increase faster from planets as well, they're not just initially stronger. 5 of a kind that is also a flush is now an even stronger hand.
Some sources of normal multiplier are more useful than others. Some are entirely general, regardless of hand played, but for instance the "if your hand contains three of a kind" is very good for having to adapt. It activates if you have three of a card, regardless if your hand is three of a kind, so it applies to full house, four of a kind, etc.
Adaptability like that was less important during the last demo, but this time I'm finding it more relevant due to different bosses.
As for actual specific joker strats, I haven't played enough rounds in the new demo to say much. I had one where one joker increased the sell price of my jokers each round and one joker that added the price of the other jokers as mult, and got that pretty early on, that was pretty fun.
Lost against Cerulean 59,609/60,000
I also enjoy the Magic Deck with the Vagabond and churning the heck out of the Tarot cards. That's probably better for having enjoyable rounds.
