What does the Double Tag Joker actually do?

What is a tag? I can't figure out what selecting a tag means.

The tags are the bonuses you get for skipping a round.

There are ways to gain 2 tags instead of 1 when you do that. Double Tag joker is one of them.

It's the same mechanic as the anaglyph deck. When you skip a boss blind you get the little perk, that perk is the tag and the double tag creates two copies of it.

I realized this during ante 5 or something, had two double tags queued up and skipped a round to get some pick-two mega packs. So for anyone wondering if that's possible, the answer is yes and you just get 3 of the reward you get from skipping.
I wonder how it interacts with increased chances of things happening, does it add up until the chance is 100%+ or does it divide the chance of it not happening (so trending towards, but not reaching, zero)?

Anyhow, better in-game explanation of what a tag is might be useful.

On this note, on the old demo I would just never skip rounds and would go for the cash every time. There's a lot more incentive this time to go for them that I appreciate.
