I'm sure the finished game will have semi-randomized boss blinds but as it stand right now, rerolling the boss blind usually seems to result in a more difficult boss.
Another one I came across makes you lose 1$ for each card you play... and it can go into negative numbers.
I'm personally just rerolling blinds for completion sake, so I can get as many of them listed in the collection as possible: if you have seed with alternative bosses, please do feel free to share them
As for this particular boss blind: this would be okay if the score to beat got divided not multiplied, as it stands is it unreasonable to defeat this blind without an extremely overpowered combination of Jokers, insanely leveled up hands and an entire modified deck. 90% of the time, this will end your run
And it just feels really bad when a randomised boss blind is more dangerous than the final boss.
Yeah, I'm full of it, I tought the score was always multiplied from a base one instead of being set for each ante, still I think this should be like either halved or have X0.75 of the original value
Do you think the rerolled boss blind is hard coded into the seed?
Feel free to test it, I just found one: WJW4AM2E
Reroll on Ante 2, gives "The Wall" (4x Base)
Thank you. I tried multiple times to reroll the same boss on one seed and always got the same replacement, so i can semi-confirm they are
Sadly, I forgot to save the seed with the boss I showcased: this was before I found the current bosses are fixed (I haven't beaten the Needle yet either)
I see.
Got another one: QK5366X8
Multiple rerolls on this one, got "The Goad" (Spades are debuffed) and "The Tooth" (Lose 1$ for each card played).
Have one yourself: this has "The Arm" at first Ante (must play less than 5 cards)

Funny, I just ran into that one myself^^ YX16KKK9
Ante 5. Too bad I was playing a Flush build... completely wrecked me.
The game recognizes that by reducing the chips required specifically for that boss blind because of its powerful limitation.
Its sister, The Wall, is the other boss blind that messes with the formula. The Wall requires 4x the small blind's chips to beat instead of the standard 2x. In exchange for such a large demand, it imposes no other restrictions, limitations or penalties on you. It lets your deck fight at full strength and tests to see if it can measure up to higher standards.
Even then though, 2.800 chips is an INSANE amount to get in one hand, the Wall is significantly easier compared to the Needle because hands are by far your most valuable resource in the game, you need them to build up your score. Leaving you with one with that ante base score, is a game over 90% unless you have an insane mult. Like specifically the runs that can beat this boss are the ones that are already won, 90% of the time, it doesn't matter your build, you lose on the spot,
Got Wall AND Tooth in one run here PMNQ76E1, just need another seed with Needle I think
And here is a new one, in the Eye: no repeated hands XS26V5K3
