Hi folks,

Unfortunately I can't read any of the text -- running HD 3000 on Ubuntu 14.04 using newest Mesa. Thanks!

I'll note that I've never seen this happen before as I play a number of modern games on this machine (including plenty that the HD3000 arguably shouldn't be able to run so well, like CK2, BL2, and new-XCom), so I doubt it's an S3TC issue or anything like that

Happens to me as well

Hi, sorry to hear about the issue you've encountered.

Please try the following steps as a possible fix:

1. Right Click Transistor in your Steam Library
2. Properties -> Set Launch Options...
3. /Bloom=false /DrawRecursivePaths=false
4. Hit ok and try running the game

Let me know if that helps!

Nope, those options don't change anything for me. Would screenshots be helpful?

I'm using an Intel HD 4400 on Ubuntu 14.10 BTW.

We have another launch option that will hopefully help:

/OnlyFancyText=true

Hopefully that one does the trick!

Same issue here, on similar hardware. I tried /OnlyFancyText=true and no change. Ivybridge mobile GPU according to Steam...

I'm having the same issue. Tried all three suggested launch options.

Corrupt Text on Linux
Runing on Ubuntu 14.10, with an nvidia optimus laptop GTX630m running nvidia drivers 343.22. I'm getting corrupt text making the game totally unplayable, like this[i.imgur.com]. Anyone else having simmilar issues?
JaySee Oct 31, 2014 @ 12:35am
I've got a simmilar issue here, but i have an nvidia optimus GTX630m laptop, running ubuntu 14.10, with the nvidia-343.22 drivers. I also experience identical rendering issues running on my intel graphics card, You can see a screenshot here if it helps https://i.imgur.com/zU9nPnc.png

This is a repeat. I apolegize.

Screenshots will help - I do have some possible ideas but pretty much all of them involve the Mono runtime doing something wrong, so I may throw a small test patch out here if any of them are correct.

Same here, HD4000 on Arch. Looks like in the screenshot of JaySee.

Launch options do not help.

Hm, I haven't had this problem in Towerfall, Escape Goat 2, or Rogue Legacy, and I'm pretty sure those are FNA/Mono. Let me know if you find anything!

Nothing to add to JaySee as far as the menu is concerned. Here is some in-game text: http://i.imgur.com/hK9prm8.jpg

Believe it or not I'm the porter for all three of those games, and you are correct! In this case, I'm thinking glVertexAttribPointer is pointing to bad texcoordinates, possibly because of bad struct alignment or bad pointer offset. I would think this would affect all users on a certain architecture, but I'll believe anything with Mono.
