I didn't notice any tearing, try forcing it on the Nvidia control panel? or the AMD equivalent.

No tearing here. HD 6670. I didn't need to mess with anything.

Honestly, I just started noticing the screen tearing myself a bit ago, but it's on and off at times.

I had bad tearing as well, but I fixed it by forcing it on in the Nvidia control panel.

I get screen tearing too. Enabling vsync in the Nvidia cp made no difference for what ever reason.

The following command line options can be used to control the game's refresh rate:
/nofixedstep
/SwapInterval=-1
/SwapInterval=0

Thank you, but what does -1 and 0 mean? What setting turns on vsync?

Would any of those impact the game in a negative way? just wondering what they do.

like, do they lock the framerate / refresh rate to 30fps/30hz or something of the sort?

Thanks! :)

1 is on (the default), 0 is off, and -1 is adaptive

/nofixedstep does the trick, thanks! :D:

When I launch, the game is constantly flickering to the point of unplayability.

I fixed my problem by editing the settings in my AMD control panel, forcing vync in all apps, however i have not tried what Ender [Developer] has suggested here.

Could you please ellaborate further? So far none of those launch options have solved the stuttering or tearing seen. Forcing V-Sync through the Nvidia control panel didn't fix it either.

If you are experiencing flickering or tearing issues, please also try playing the game in windowed mode in addition to the above options.

Using the launch options -windowed and -noborder to let you run the game in windowed mode but still seamlessly if the game is behaving poorly for you when it launches at full-screen.

You can also use -x 1280 and -y 720 to force the game to launch at your desired resolution.

To set Launch Options, right-click on Transistor in your game library, select Properties, then click on "Set Launch Options..."

I can indeed confirm that running the game windowed fixed both stuttering and tearing. However, -noborder didn't work at all as it still displayed the game in a regular window (both when using -windowed and -noborder as well as just -noborder).

I should add more systems details, in case they can be used for reference:
Intel Core i7-2820QM
8GB DDR3 1600MHz
Intel HD3000 + Nvidia Geforce GT 555M 2GB DDR3 (the GPU is used to render the game, not the Intel IGP)
Windows 8.1 x64 (fully up to date)

The game runs at native 1920x1080.

Could something like an in-game V-Sync setting help with this issue?

P.S.: Sorry for the late reply but for some reason I didn't get a reply notification.
