Game locked to 66fps? Why?
I'm getting an annoying amount of stuttering, but not because of low framerate, but because for some reason it seems the devs seem to have decided to lock it at 66 ?

Why 66 fps? Surely it should be 60 so that it runs smoothly on 60Hz (and my 120Hz) monitor ?

Or is this a bug/issue?

Obviously I'd rather run it at 120 on my 120Hz monitor, but at the very least let it run at 60 so it isn't constantly stuttering when the camera moves.

P.S. Adoring the game, just would be nice for it to run nice and smoothly :)

Hi, sorry to hear about the issue you've encountered. Please try the following steps:

First:

1. Right Click Transistor in your Steam Library
2. Properties -> Set Launch Options...
3. /nofixedstep
4. Hit ok and try running the game - see if that helps

Second:

1. Right Click Transistor in your Steam Library
2. Properties -> Set Launch Options...
3. /SwapInterval=-1 (remove /nofixedstep if you tried the first work around)
4. Hit ok and try running the game - see if that helps

I was having this problem as well and /nofixedstep fixed it entirely, now getting rock solid 120fps. I was just wondering what this actually does and why it's off by default.

Should I worry about some issues this may cause since there must be a reason for it being defaulted off.

Thank you for the reply, really nice to see such good community support from devs :)

Just downloading the patch now and will test those solutions out and reply back.

Well one of the developers of the game just recommended it above so I presume it'll be perfecty fine to do. But yeah seems odd that it's not on by default if it simply fixes the problem. Not tried this new patch out yet so maybe it's fixed in that.

/nofixedstep unlocks the framerate. Simple as that. Pretty sure you can use this command on any Steam game.
