Help! My keyboard does not work

All the keys do not respond but my mouse does fine
1,2,3,4, E, Esc... none of this work
I can only click to start the game when it says "press any button"
I can't even shift+tab to open the steam interface
I know the game is a bit old and yes I am a new player
Can anyone help?

Oh me too! Does anyone have a fix to this problem? I thought it might be the compatibility problem with Win10 but I'm not sure.

When entering the game, try not to use win10 input method. I couldn't use the keyboard before, but later I got a new input method and solved it

Please elaborate how you did this. I am currently unable to have any of the keyboard keys work while in-game. Only mouse click works, can't press 1 or 2 to switch abilities, can't press Space to stop time. Thanks.

"win10 input method" refers to different language inputs. I briefly had the same issues while I was using Japanese Microsoft IME, and everything was fixed when I switched to English.

Thanks for this, I was in Japanese input. Switching back to English did the trick :D

I have found another solution here. Transistor is not compatible with the new Microsoft IME (for Japanese AFAIK). You can fix the keyboard issue by switching IME back to the previous one.

1. Go to IME settings
   
2. Open "General" page
   
3. Check the "Use previous version of Microsoft IME" at the bottom of the page

I am using Chinese input and simply switching to old version old MS IME does the trick.
