Possible No-Win Situation Bug
There is a point in the game where in order to progress, the player must break through a gauntlet of white walls during the Second Spine sequence. This is normally not a problem, since the game does not take away your last offensive function until the end.

However, there are two damage functions that cannot destroy these white walls: Tap and Purge. Hypothetically, if a player reaches this point and has only those two functions remaining for damage, they will be trapped and unable to progress, effectively wiping out their save.

Yup, I'm in a simmilar situation, where I'm trying to get the Risk() achievement and I've lost a few functions. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but I'm facing Sybil on my second run through for the Recursion() achievement, armed only with 2x Breach and I don't have the DPS to even make a dint before she heals all the way up to full while I wait for my Turn() to finish.

When I hit retry, instead of bringing me back to an access point, it starts me at the stage and I can't go back to even attempt to change my kit.

There is an option to 'reset' your profile (the save I assume?), but will that kill the entire file back to square 1, or just to the start of the Recursion() round?

There's also no option to start a new game with Recursion().

Anyone got any ideas beside play through 3 times? Haha!

Kill the weeds first. Also, try not using turn() unless you have to.

I can't be sure, but doesn't the Spine itself also damage the walls? So if you lure it to hit the walls, you should be able to proceed.

As for the situation with Sybil, as mentioned, you should kill the weeds. Those are most likely what's healing her.

Not in the situation I'm referring to.

Something I noticed while I was being a dummy was if you just died and had all your functions overloaded, you'd get an option to try again without Limiters. Would that help? I'd assume you'd be able to access all your functions again.

I've never used it, so I don't know.
