Just replace the 1920 and 1080 values with your desired resolution.
It's worth noting that all of our in-game assets were hand-painted at 1920x1080 resolution, so they really should look best at that resolution.
1. Go into the local files and choose either the x86 or x64 folder (depending on OS)
2. Find the exe named Transistor and right click and select properties
3. Go to compatibility tab and choose disable display scaling on high DPI settings
4. Click run as administrator
If that doesn't work, try changing the scaling of your Windows icons and from larger to normal size and see if that helps.
Those are all reasons that assets were created at what was then the highest readily available resolution.eh
There are even more technichal reasons, but the fact that 4K was an outlier during development of this game is definitely part of the equation.
That's like going back to the 80's and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ at people for releasing their movies on vhs instead of bluray.
1920x1080 'low' resolution HAND PAINTED ... hand ... painted, do you know how long it took to paint a single Rembrandt?
The hilarious thing is he is member of the "Vintage Video Game Collecting Community" ... *groan*
