About how many hours of gameplay?
I usually like to get about 1 hour of gameplay for each $ spent. So if they are selling this at $20, then it should provide about 20 hours of gameplay.

Game looks good. I saw a review video on IGN so there is a definite interest to buy. But too short could be a deal breaker. Then of course I will be waiting for a sale.

From what I've been hearing, it's about the same length of Bastion. Which makes it -roughly- 5 or so hours the first time through, unless you have the limiters (If you've played Bastion, they're the Idols of this game.) and getting your butt handed to you.

I've heard roughly 8 hours of gameplay... but if you ask me, 1 hour of Bastion/Transistor is infinitely better than 100 hours of most any other game

anyways we cant know that because the game is bugged as fk

I might just be using my money instead to buy Child of Light. That is roughly 1 hour of gameplay for each $ spent. Sorry, but 5 to 8 hours of gameplay for $20 is a little expensive, IMHO. I'll wait for a killer sale like I did with Bastion and pick it up for $2 at the end of the year.

That is a ridiculous thing you're expecting. By that logic, you'll only be playing open world games or RPGs if you expect the amount you pay to equal the game length. Having a short game isn't necessarily a bad thing if the substance more than makes up for it. Take Journey on the PS3 for instance; I paid $15 for it and only got a max of maybe 3 hours for it, yet it was a great experience. Your way of thinking for a game's value is very shallow.

No it's not very shallow it. It is very me. You are not the cookie cutter standard for everyone else as I am not the cookie cutter standard for everyone else. You have not lived my life for one second therefore you cannot judge.

Saying I'm shallow....how trite.

Sounds like the regular game is 6 hours, then there's recursion mode, which seems like it'll let you replay the game with variation on enemies. Might fit your bill at a $10 price point. Seems like it's a quality 6-10 hours, though.

There's kind of an important distinction to make here and that's length does NOT equal quality.
Bastion was pretty short but it was densely packed with high quality content, I beat that game about twice and every level was well crafted and enjoyable.
Conversely, a game like Skyrim has an immense amount of content that you can sink hundereds of hours into, except that it's all incredibly shallow and not necessarily good.
I guess it comes down to whether you're more concerned with being able to sink hundereds of hours of possibly mediocre time into a game or you just want to sink a few hours into a game that are almost guaranteed to be enjoyable.

plus you can do runs with 1 to 10 limiters(the idols of this game), so far the only 2 limiters ive found already make it noticeably more annoying to fight many enemies
