Sound Bug
Everytime I start up the game, my sound is completely muted. Not only that, it mutes ALL sound on my computer. For example, if I have teamspeak running in the background, I won't be able to hear that either. How do I solve this?

I've been having a similar issue, where my Razer headset will scream white static once the game starts (yet the audio works fine on my laptops speakers. i have to disable those speakers in order to stop the audio from going out of them, even with headset set to default.) and all other audio is muted until the game process is closed. The static only stops when I unplug the headset and plug it back in, but the audio remains muted.

I somehow managed to get it to work once but had to stop playing a few minutes later.

I've been havin the same problem lately, I had it before and it runned without any problem but I got a new laptop and redownloaded all my games, all games run smoothly but when I try to play Transistor it mutes the whole laptop and it goes back to normal after a while from closing the game

Now since it's been established that multiple people are having this issue...anyone have any tips on solving it?

I somehow managed to fix my issue by switching which usb port my headset was in to the powered port. Not sure if anyone else in here is using a USB headset. If you are, I'd suggest trying that

This might be way off base, but the game may be reconfiguring your audio. If you have something in your control panel for configuring audio, such as the Realtek HD Audio Manager, take a look at its settings when audio is working OK and compare those settings to what they are when the audio is hosed.

Hey all,

It would be good to know if you are all experiencing this with the same hardware/drivers, or different hardware and drivers.

If you run dxDiag and click on the Sound 1 tab you should see info for your sound devices.

I'd be interested in what you see for:

Device Name
Device Hardware ID
Drivers Name
Drivers Version
Drivers Date

Knowing if this is widespread, or affecting specific drivers will help us!

At this point I'm suspicious of a recent Windows update.

how do I do that?

You should be able to hit Windows+R to open the Run dialog, then type in dxdiag and hit enter to launch it.

Alternatively, you can search for the program dxDiag

I tried playing yesterday and suddenly it worked just fine

Do you remember if you pulled down any Windows Updates before then?

I actually did, I guess that fixed it

I have a similar problem, When I start the game, there is no sound. I have to close the game and start it a second time to get it to work properly.
