As ilwwli mentioned, you can use Switch (the charm function) on healing enemies to heal in the early game. You get an actual healing function (Tap) later in the game. I admit that it's odd for such a vital ability to be given to you so late.
Jaunt
Switch
Passive Bounce
Passive Crash
Mask
Jaunt(Spark, Crash)
Purge(Breach, Crash)
Eventually, of course, you get Void, and then you can indeed kill them in one turn.
The way I did it was a few lucky start skills, and patience with using Turn() and balancing charmed dogs and attacking.
You may have noticed, everytime you try, you get different skills to choose from. My successful run started with Spark (or Breach, can't recall) and Swtich. I used switch on the fetches (dogs), and then attacked other things. Note - using just one one skil during Turn() makes it so you regen your turn a lot faster - so I'd go into Turn() and charm the fetch (and that's all), wait for my Turn() to regen and also for at least one Fetch to be uncharmed, then go into Turn() again and hit monsters (usually targeting Cheerleaders first) with multiple attacks, but saving enough room for the last attack to be another Switch() on a fetch. That way a charmed dog is always pulling the others off of you. Sometimes you might even want to charm 2, in later waves when there's like 4 at once (plus other enemies).
As the levels went on, I threw a few low-cost abilities in my other two slots (Mask is good because you can use it for a quick escape), mostly so if I lost all my HP, I'd survive and lose a skill instead of the challenge. You could get unlucky and lose Swich or your main attack - I lost Spark in the last two levels, but I had a good replacement by then.
Best of luck.
