Steam Deck - not detecting button presses?
Just got my Steam Deck today, logged in, and started downloading updates and games; I'm sharing the Steam Deck with another person; they log in, start downloading games, tells me I should try "Transistor" since I liked Hades.
Steam Desk said there was a BIOS updated that needed to be done so I did that and let it reboot.
They shared their library with me, and I opened the game, but nothing happened till I pressed on the screen and it said "Hey Red, I can't get you out of it this time", but then it won't detect any button presses, nothing from the letter keys, the dpad, the touchpads, etc.
It will let me move the character on the screen if I click the screen, but when I move over to the gown and it says "Press E" none of the buttons will respond.
So I switched back to the original owners profile, same thing. Rebooted, same thing. Downloaded a custom controller layout from the "Community", same thing.
Player Sniper Elite 3 and it responded as expected.
Anything I should try next? Is it possible the 2 users are the problem?

The other user got it working. They told me from the Steam Page they clicked on the Gear Icon then Properties then in "General" unchecked "Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game" and "Use Desktop Game Theatre while SteamVR is active".
To verify, I went back in and checked those options, but the game continues to work (by accepting inputs from buttons and joysticks)

Having the same problem here, game thinks I'm using kb/m and controller inputs inconsistent. No second account or anything.

I just started playing on the Deck and it worked for me.
Controller input working right away.
