Personnally, I think it is better this way.
Most people refer to this game as the "incest game", however there is much more to TCOAAL than just incest, if Nemlei happened to make actual NSFW scenes, then she'd somehow give them reason.
Also, for people complaining that "yes but I bought it for the incest part" first of all, question your own sanity 'cause bro wtf, and secondly, Nemlei never mentionned that she'd make such uncensored scenes.

Case in point, the most disturbing scene in TCOAAL by far in my opinion is the whole Nina flash back and we never see her body in the refrigerator. Just the idea of a little girl coughing to death in a cold and dirty box is enough to bother me I don't need to see her rotting corpse

Usually those who are extremely graphic are your typical slasher movies or grind house schlock which really don't scare anybody

While i am a pervert and want more perverted things everywhere, i like to leave it to the author, so far i am not disappointed and rather pleased with the development of the game so i trust them to do whats is right and stay true to their vision.

And as the internet has proven many times, there will always be people taking up arms in the discussion topics screaming into the void no matter what happens.

If they're there or not, it's fine either way.
Tbh I feel like it's inevitable that they bang, but it'll just happen off screen/fade to black/whatever. It's doesn't need to be graphic and NSFW to get the point across. They have an extremely unhealthy and codependent relationship and it's only getting worse as the story goes.
It's great, can't wait for ch. 3

It feels like false advertising considering if I wanted to enjoy this level of writing I would use waybackmachine and go read 14 year old girl's blogs.
