Jack In A Castle
Divilethion
Better Half
Candy Scabs
No-good Noelle
all of them are great, but in my opinion Better Half and No-Good Noelle are both AMAZING
Its also got some lovecraftian horror themes in the background.
Obviously, very different characters on very different journeys with very different circumstances growing up, but they lie to themselves constantly (and to the audience) in order to justify everything they do. Perhaps it's just because both games were made by Millennial/Gen-Z indie developers and that's just the inward focus and flavor these sorts of projects have.
It's really hard to explain, but it's a feeling I haven't been able to shake since playing both games.
