either way, it won't be a simple black and white, good or bad ending. There will be complications. I'm thinking something like Spec Ops The Line where there are no real good endings just some are better than others or maybe Cyberpunk 2077 where maybe V lives but loses everything or maybe V dies but Johnny gets a second chance at life but there are no true happy endings in those games. I'd imagine TCOAAL will do something similar
