Where do I find aluminum?

All the good stuff seems to use aluminum and I cannot find any, is there a chance you can get it when mining like with iron and copper or does aluminum only spawn in a certain biome? I'm in a desert and haven't found any.

Aluminum (and even more so, zinc) is a mineral I've always had trouble getting as well. But I have seen it spawn in pretty much every biome so far, even in under water.
Only advice I can give, I'm afraid, is scan as often as possible for it while traveling. It's the only way I've managed to find what little I've gotten hold of.

Just run around randomly and scan, marking waypoints on the map also help so you don't end up scanning an area again. I personally have gotten pretty lucky in my solo/mp games since I've spawned near a big mine.

I assume you're talking about the story edition? If so you'll find some west of the Earth Camp you can find quite a bit of it on the surface. I'm fairly certain that it's still there despite the updates to the game.

Adventure mode is pretty random. Ive had starts with gold, copper and iron near the surface about 5 steps out of the village i started in. Other times ive spent long hours looking for good deposits. The game im in at the moment i have a giant aluminium deposit just inside of a cave, the last game i found little bits about 40000 meters digging down. All you can do is scan a lot and mark points as Guyver and 2old said. The map is horrible and of little use because of no features. They could colour code different biomes at least. So you have to add your own markers. Not complaining but the map needs some work.

i dont have the script, upgrade on scanner to find it, the girl on the quest asked me to find it but i dont know where to get the upgrade, anyone know where? thanks

You can usually get the script from the person who gave you the quest to find the ore.

the quest was given by vera novikoya from the earth camp and she only sell's food stuff, no minerals, just food scripts, thanks anyway i'm ♥♥♥♥♥♥, i'll try to find it random without the scanner tomorrow, now i need sleep, thanks anyway! :'(
